White Tiger — Labradorite
Guardian of the West

Of the four guardian beasts, the White Tiger was the one soldiers carried into battle. Its image was stitched onto war banners and painted on shields — not as a symbol of aggression, but of vigilance, the animal instinct to notice danger before it arrives. In Chinese cosmology, the West is the direction of autumn, when the harvest is gathered in and the land begins its long watch through the coming cold.

Labradorite is a stone that seems to hold its own weather. Turned in the hand, it shifts from a flat, quiet grey to a sudden flash of silver-blue, like light catching the edge of a blade. That unpredictability has made it, in various traditions, a stone associated with awareness — the sense of something seen only from the corner of the eye.

Each collar is hand-braided in charcoal, grey, and white paracord, restrained in palette, sharpened by the stone's occasional flash. The White Tiger watches the West: the direction of metal, of autumn, of quiet readiness.
